FOR SALE (Mar 01) ME - Fairmont MT-19-A2 Former L&N 7378 built 1978 in very good condition, ready to use with trailer. Motor and transmission replaced with new CCKB engine and new transmission purchased 1997, from Fairmont. Car has an electric turntable to indicate when the turntable is retracted. There are narrow vertical side panels with windows at the front end of the car. Heavy duty waterproof canvas sliding curtains close off the balance of the sides. The curtains have plastic windows. The car can be run with the side curtain open, partially closed, and fully closed. The car has dual Bosch wipers. The roof of the car has a pair of skylights. The rear of the car has two narrow horizontal panels with windows. The rest of the rear is open. It has electric horns and an air horn operated by an electric compressor with auto pressure control on the tank. It has a headlight. It has ditch lights which operate steady or blink. It has blinking stop lights, strobe light, side and rear running lights, and backup lights for reverse running. The car has a running time clock. All electric equipment is fused and the wiring is good. Battery is new. Wheels pass inspection. Car has two small storage boxes on front to carry spare parts including belts, plugs, and tools. The tow bar is also mounted on the front bumper bar. The car has 12V outlets for radio, cooler, etc. A Motorola 2 way hand held radio preprogrammed with RR frequencies is included. A 12Vcooler is also included. Seat belts, yet to be installed, will be included. The trailer is a custom built, low bed with steel deck, single drop axle, electric brakes, spare tire, pull out ramps and manual winch.
