Spring frogs were designed to work with railroad equipment MUCH heavier than motorcars. At a very slow speed, a motorcar will ride on top of the spring frog without derailing. The safest way to negotiate a spring frog is to walk your motorcar over the spring frog, all-the-while watching to prevent a wheel/track misalignment.
